The
List Details screen, which is available only when you are logged in, shows the items in the list you have selected from the My Lists screen.
- To request one or more items on a list, click the check box next to the item(s), and click the Request button, OR click the Select All button to select all the items on the list, and click the Request button. Note that some items cannot be requested; these are marked with an asterisk.
- To create a citation for items on the list, click the check box next to your desired item(s), and click the Create Citation button. This brings you to the Create Citation screen, which lets you choose a citation format and then opens the QuikBib website. Note that some items cannot have citations created for them; these are marked with an asterisk.
- To add a tag to one or more items on a list, click the check box next to your desired item(s), enter a tag in the Add Tag text box, and click the Add Tag button. The tag you type is applied to the item(s) you checked.
- To export your list, click on the Export to EndNote format, Export to CSV format, or Export to MARC link above the list.
- Clicking the Export in EndNote format link lets you download a text (.txt) file that contains bibliographic information about the items in the list. Although it is formatted for use in EndNote, this text file contains information that can be useful for bibliographies or to keep for your reference.
- Clicking the Export to CSV format link lets you download a comma-separated-value (CSV) file that contains bibliographic information about items in the list. This file can be opened with a spreadsheet editor like Microsoft® Excel or a text editor like Notepad.
- Clicking the Export to MARC link lets you download a MARC file in .rec format. This format is most useful to librarians. Note that some items cannot be exported; these are marked with an asterisk.
- To e-mail bibliographic information about the items on the list to yourself or someone else, click the Email list link. The link brings you to a new page on which you enter the sender's and recipient's e-mail addresses.
- To see item information for an item on the list, click the item title.
- To add to your queue items on your list, select the item(s) you would like to add to your queue, and click the Add To Queue button. Items are added to your queue for library staff to pull and send to you.
- To remove an item from a list, click the check
box next to the item, and click the Remove button. OR, click the Select
All button to select all the items on the list, and then click the Remove
button. You can keep a list even when it is empty.
You can only create lists and save lists from one session to another if you are
logged in with your library barcode and password.
