English Language
Programs
A number of publications list language programs located throughout
the United States. Of these, perhaps the most comprehensive
is English Language and Orientation Programs in the United
States, a directory of English language programs published
by the Institute of International Education (see below). Professional
associations, such as the Consortium of University and College
Intensive English Programs (UCIEP) and the American Association
of Intensive English Programs (AAIEP), also publish directories
of their member language programs with descriptions and contact
information for each.
A growing number of magazines have appeared in recent years
that contain advertisements for English language schools.
Such magazines also provide information and advice for students
considering enrolling in English language programs, and they
contain articles about different aspects of language study
in the United States.
