Abstract

Methods are described for the stereoselective synthesis of alkenyl-substituted cyclobutenediones from alkyl-substituted cyclobutenediones and aldehydes in 70-91% yields using pyrrolidine as catalyst under mild reaction conditions. © Georg Thieme Verlag Stuttgart · New York.
