dc.description.abstract Based on a recently developed method, the thermodynamic properties of a one-dimensional quark gas are investigated. The quarks are treated as classical particles except for their SU(N) spin. General formulations as well as specific calculations for SU(2) and SU(3) are given. © 1982 The American Physical Society.
